Part of Aarhus University’s infrastructure will in future be managed by Sentia, which will also be responsible for operations, maintenance and support.
Sentia, an infrastructure provider and part of Aeven Group, will deliver infrastructure services (VM-as-a-Service) to Aarhus University for a four-year period. The contract, valued at a double-digit million amount in DKK, runs for four years with the option to extend for up to an additional four years. It covers a managed private cloud solution operated from Danish data centres.
The Infrastructure-as-a-Service model enables the university to provide a secure and scalable environment for its 36,000 students and 11,000 employees, who depend on a robust infrastructure. With a strong focus on quality, operational reliability and a high level of compliance, the overall delivery demonstrates Sentia’s capabilities in serving the Danish public sector.
"The public sector is currently facing growing concerns around data security. With Sentia’s Danish private cloud solution, Aarhus University gains the reassurance of a flexible and redundant IT environment recognised for its high level of data security and performance."
- Marius Jeppesen, Chief Commercial Officer, Sentia
Aarhus University’s infrastructure is expected to be operational in July 2025.
