Sabaas and Sentia join forces in SAP cloud migrations on AWS

9 December 2021

Sentia, a service provider in the field of hybrid cloud services and digital experience monitoring, is joining forces with the cloud enabler for SAP workloads Sabaas, to support customers migrating their SAP environments to the AWS Cloud and meet the S/4HANA deadline of 2027. The experience of both Sentia and Sabaas, combined with the agile and secure AWS Cloud, will allow customers to quickly and securely move their business-critical ERP systems to the cloud.

As of 2027, support for several SAP products, including ERP 6.0, CRM 7.0, SCM 7.0, and SRM 7.0, will be discontinued. SAP customers will therefore have to switch to the new SAP S/4HANA platform. By combining this transition with a migration to the cloud, this process is accelerated. Sabaas’ extensive SAP knowledge increases the likelihood of successful cloud migrations to AWS that are provided by Sentia. The flexibility of the cloud, the stability of SAP applications and the insights into business processes based on Digital Experience Management is a powerful combination, that will be able to take the highly business critical SAP systems to the next level in the coming years.

AWS offers the most secure, reliable, and extensive cloud infrastructure, as well as a proven approaches backed by unmatched experience supporting SAP customers in the cloud. In addition, Sabaas offers years of knowledge and experience around migrations and SAP Basis-as-a-service. As a managed service provider, Sentia guides the migration and makes the SAP environment completely transparent with the data analysis solution SAP Powerconnect. As a result, performance problems on business-critical ERP systems are a thing of the past and stability during migration is guaranteed.

"Many SAP-driven organisations will go the cloud in the coming years," says Edwin Kennedy, CCO of Sentia Netherlands. "We would like to guide them in this move; the combined knowledge on AWS of Sabaas and Sentia makes this possible. This cooperation is the perfect opportunity for organisations to start cleaning up and archiving their SAP landscape and preparing it for the move to the cloud, and to make use of the innovations that have not been accessible to SAP for a long time."

"Organisations that have migrated their SAP environment to the cloud experience that a new toolset of possibilities is made available to their business users. Linking data lakes, reading IoT data, but also accelerated testing of SAP releases turn out to be much easier and more cost-effective on AWS,” states Sander van Gemert, partner and architect at Sabaas. "Through our collaboration with Sentia, we can offer customers a complete package in which implementation, security and flexibility are taken completely out of their hands. Together with the customer, we analyse the current landscape and make proposals on how processes can be realised in the AWS Cloud. Smart use of cloud native solutions prevents disruptions and reduces costs, also in the SAP world."
